Jersey Girls Food Tours is hosting the first annual Fall Chef showcase at the new Art House Productions space in Journal Square (136 Magnolia Ave.) on Tuesday October 28th from 7pm to 9pm.

With the purchase of a $75 ticket, guests will enjoy local dishes from 12-15 vendors, including dessert and coffee. The NJCU Jazz Quintet and “A Kind of Trio,” ode to Miles Davis, will provide entertainment for the evening. The exhibit, OBSOLESCENCE, will be on display at Art House Productions for guests to enjoy. In addition to the food, a selection of spirits from NJ Beer Co, Don Q Rums, Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liqueur, Jersey Wine Merchants and Selections de la Viña, will be included to complement the food offerings.

All profits will benefit The Sharing Place. “We wanted to make this event very accessible for everyone. Through our food tours, we found the best places to eat in the city, and now we’re bringing a select group to one place for everyone to enjoy, while benefitting a food charity that really makes a difference here in Jersey City,” says co-founder, Janis Borroto.

This event is also made possible by SILVERMAN, PRIME Real Estate Group and Smith & Chang.

All ages welcome. Valid identification required for guests consuming alcoholic beverages. Various local retail items will be raffled for further donation to The Sharing Place.

Jersey Girls Food Tours

alessiajanisjgft

The Jersey City culinary food scene is off the charts, and what better way to experience it than to enjoy a variety of cuisines from different venues—all at one reasonable price, and all in one day or one night?

Jersey Girls Food Tours (JGFT) showcase the gastronomic scene in Jersey City, perfect for locals and non-locals alike. Guests can enjoy YUMzzz from the best eateries in town and get a dose of JC history while walking from spot to spot.

My gals Janis Borroto and Alessia Aron (pictured from left to right, above) of JGFT invited me on a test run of one of their new Jersey City tours, titled “Best of Downtown.”
