Tachair Bookshoppe (260 Newark Ave.) is hosting EXEMPLARY: A night of fan fiction writing and art from 6-9pm this evening with the help of INSTAGATORZINE.
Stop by and show your support of Jersey City’s only independent bookshoppe. Learn more about this local small business by watching this video.
The movie starts at sundown…which by my guesstimate means it’s best to set up your blankets and chairs circa 7:30pm. That will give you enough time to grab your free popcorn and Lizzmonade lemonade (yes, it’s all free) and get comfortably cozy in time for the viewing.
The Washington Park Association (WPA), Riverview Neighborhood Association and Pershing Field Garden Friends organized this night (and the upcoming Jersey City movies in the park series) with Hudson County Parks and the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
A new place for the cutie tots is in the making, and this Wednesday you have a chance to check it out. Bright Horizons doesn’t open until this fall, but parents can assess the facilities on July 31st at 152 Plaza 3 (next to the Exchange Place PATH).
Arrive for a tour at either 11am or 4:30pm to learn what this new center can offer your child in terms of early education. For additional info, contact (201) 433-6370 or email plaza3jc@brighthorizons.comFlier here.
Though we’re in the middle of summer, there’s still plenty going on in Jersey City. The heat wave has broken, so if you’re around, get on out there and support local…everything.
