Park Fest 2017 [Saturday, June 10]
Hamilton Park hosts Park Fest this Saturday, June 10 from 12-7pm, a seasonal celebration with something for everyone.
There will be three bands, a DJ, food trucks, adult bevvies, a flea market, tennis and kickboxing instruction, a magician, and even a petting zoo. Admission is free.
Bring your friends & family for the fun and meet new people in your neighborhood.

Riverview Jazz Festival 2017 [Saturday, June 3]
Riverview Jazz Festival used to be a one-day event, but now it spans an entire week, kicking off Saturday, June 3rd on the waterfront (3 2nd St.) at 12pm.
Here is the lineup of Saturday’s performers. Also, there will be food vendors, a flea market, a beer garden, children’s activities and more.
Throughout the week, hear live jazz in various Jersey City venues and parks like The Corkscrew, Fox and Crow, Moore’s Lounge, The Brightside Tavern, Madame Claude Bis, The Archer, The Hutton, Grove St., Newark Ave., Pershing Field, Lincoln Park, J. Owen Grundy Pier and Audubon Park. Full schedule here with dates and times.
The Riverview Jazz Festival flagship event closes the whole program on Saturday, June 10 at 12pm in a day of music and festivity.
The year, there will be two stages off of Riverview-Fisk Park: Holland St. and Ogden Ave. Full line-up here.
Besides awesome music, there will be food and craft vendors, face-painting, and a performing arts workshop.
And if you’re still have not had enough jazz by 8pm, there is an after-party at Fox & Crow.

Zaniac: Grand Opening
Have you ever wished you studied math or science more when you were younger – how much these subjects, with constantly changing technology, are integral to your own adult life?
Zaniac is a new after-school, extra-curricular program in Jersey City aimed to intrigue students K-8 to dig deeper into these subjects. Like how to code computer programs or how to build video games – not just play them.
Added bonus: Acquiring these skills at an early age is obviously a good thing for future life success, but Zaniac’s curriculum may encourage children who don’t like typical classroom settings to start to enjoy learning – and perhaps gain more confidence.
The Jersey City campus on 125 First Street opens its doors June 3. Read about some of the programs here.
