Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is TODAY!

polo

Today, Jersey City welcomes its sixth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, a highlight of the social season here for many. This year, proceeds are going towards the reconstruction of Liberty State Park, where it is held.

“This event at Liberty State Park is a prime example of Governor Christie’s commitment to rebuilding our state after Sandy and to have our parks, natural areas and the shore areas open for business during the upcoming summer tourism season,” said Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Bob Martin. “We welcome Veuve Clicquot to Liberty State Park and thank them for being a partner in helping us to showcase this recovery effort.” (Source: NJ.com)

Toast to the kickoff of the summer season by watching the polo match and sipping on Veuve Clicquot from one of the many champagne bars. NYC food trucks will also be on site. The best part by far, though, is the people-watching; this event has an impressive celebrity turnout year after year.

Must be 21+ to attend and tickets must be pre-purchased. The event is sold out, however...there are ways around that.

As the Park continues to promote green-living, no parking is provided onsite. Instead guests must arrive via ferry (from Manhattan) or via the Light Rail (Hudson-Bergen Line).

Cheers!
