6th Borough Market Sunday 6/22/14

6thBorough_May2014PR_location
The 6th Borough Market returns this summer Sunday, this time behind City Hall on Montgomery St. @ Marin Blvd.

The Market is a curated mix of artisan crafts and vintage goods for sale, and the experience is topped off with children’s activities and yummy eats. Artists, collectors and chefs gather to provide a fun experience for families on one given Sunday each month during the warm season. This Sunday, look for a very limited edition of urban cycling caps by Cecilia and Reuben.

(Upcoming dates: July 20, August 10, September 14, and October 19.) For those of you who missed the festivities last year, here are a few mentions from me.

Keep it local,
JCG

Shop Small Saturday

 Shop-Small

Jersey City is the perfect town to shop small businesses. In fact, the reason I started this site was to support everything in this great city and encourage people to get involved with the community—which includes keeping it local. Be authentic in how you dress, decorate your home, care for your pet, where you have coffee or dine, etc. Jersey City is one-of-a-kind and should be celebrated!

As one commercial says, “The money spent here, stays here.”

The Jersey City Life put together a comprehensive list of businesses with descriptions of what they sell and links to their sites. Therefore, I won’t waste time creating another one. Check it out! Also, I found this nifty map.

There are deals to be taken advantage of everywhere, so there isn’t a better time to get your holiday shopping done.

See you around town,
JCG
