Meditation 8/11/13

Riverview Community Garden is hosting a mindful meditation this Sunday at 12:30pm entitled “Seeding The Heart.” Laurie G, a yoga instructor, will guide the gathered group in a series of reflection meant to transform and heal by “delving into a deep state of presence and peace within the heart.” No experience necessary.

Precise location: Ogden Ave. between Griffith and Bowers St.
Cost: Suggested donation of $10, which will be dedicated to the garden
Bring: A towel or cushion to sit on
After: Linger and mingle with the group over lemonade

“Multiplicities” Art Show Closing Reception Tonight 8/9/13

Head over to Victory Hall Drawing Rooms (180 Grand St.) at 5:30pm to experience the interactive art show featuring drawings, paintings and wall installations by Milosz Koziej, Megan Klim, Bill Rybak, Loura van der Meule, Nyugen E. Smith, Vincent Salvati, William Stamos, Liz Cohen, Winifred McNeill, Greg Brickey, Max Velez and James Pustorino. Listen to music on the Lawn with jazz vibraphonist Eldad Tarmu and sip on complimentary wine while viewing various demonstrations—all free to the public.
