Con Vivo Music is wrapping their season with a Gala! The once-a-year fundraiser will be a celebration of Con Vivo’s first CD release “Modern Dances.”
The orchestra will perform selections off our album alongside Prokofiev’s Quintet in G minor. Food and wine are included, as well as their annual raffle/auction on Saturday, December 13th at 8pm at Barrow Mansion (83 Wayne St.)

Highlights: Stockhausen’s Tierkreis, our 5th annual Bach concert, Rhymes With Opera’s sci-fi opera Red Giant, music for solo/duos/trios, the second performance of Richard Carrick’s meditative, bold, and evocative Stone Guitars, the acclaimed percussion/flute group Iktus Duo, a 30-min world premiere by New Thread Sax Quartet, and beautiful art songs with Sarah Nelson Craft and Paul Vasile.
On November 12, “Mixing It Up for WomenRising!” is hosting a young professionals networtking event. Join in the fun at TD Bank on 18th Street in Jersey City (plenty of parking and easily accesible from the PATH), where St. John Frizell St. (owner of Fort Defiance in Brooklyn and writer for Bon Appetit and Gourmet) will shake up three iconic cocktails and speak about the significance of each cocktail.

Con Vivo celebrates an evening of song this Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church (440 Hoboken Ave., Jersey City) at 5pm.
Con Vivo will celebrate the art song with mezzo-soprano Sarah Nelson Craft and pianist Paul Vasile! This varied and beautiful program includes music by Benjamin Britten, Claude Debussy, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Franz Schubert, and George Gershwin.
Ms. Craft has performed at the Caramoor Festival, Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall, China’s Macau International Music Festival, with the New Jersey Festival Orchetra, on NPR’s This American Live live at BAM, and more. We’re excited to have her performing for Con Vivo before she travels to Paris to participate in “The Song Continues: Paris Residency” presented by Carnegie Hall at the Opéra Bastille.
Mr. Vasile’s wide-ranging talents and musical interests provide frequent opportunities to perform as a pianist, conductor and concert organist. He has performed in his own recitals of American Romantic organ music in Germany, Latvia and in New York City, including several performances on the historic Appleton pipe organ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
