The beautiful historic Loew’s Jersey City is hosting a screening of Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” this Saturday, June 2nd at 8pm.

Admission is a mere $8 for the boring crowd (me) and $6 for the exciting (tots and those of accomplished age).

While released in 1971 and filmed in the trippy late 60s, “2001” is a certain kind of amazing that still seemed avant-garde when I first saw it way after the actual 2001.
