Jersey City Art School is hosting an outdoor watercolor class in their backyard (326 Fifth St.) this weekend. Choose Saturday or Sunday for your two-hour session beginning at 2:30pm.
The fee (which includes all materials) is $40 per person or $75 if you pair up with a friend. Sign up for your day of choice by emailing jcartschool@gmail.com
There’s still time to enroll in 4-8 week courses at Jersey City Arts School (326 Fifth St.). Learn portrait drawing, ceramics, or beginner or intermediate drawing and painting. While these courses are for adults, there is an age 12+ course titled “Comics,” which the school describes as “understanding the skills, processes and techniques involved in the time-honored tradition of juxtaposing words and images in a sequential format, otherwise known as cartooning.”

The quarterly culmination of extraordinary Jersey City art and music is back! JC FRIDAYS, hosted by Art House Productions, is a city-wide full day of free events here in Chilltown.
Local businesses collaborate with artists in a celebration of culture. Events include art openings and exhibits, live music, film/video screenings and performances.

It’s that time of year where we welcome the most amazing annual flea market ever, that of Jersey City’s Riverview-Fisk Park. This year already boasts over 100 vendors (including me).
Free zumba? 10:15 am
Free yoga? 11am
Children’s activities? ?
Additionally, there will be live music from Payaso Triste, GMJ Groove, Crash Gordan & Debra Dynamite, Sea of Otters and the Martin Maretto Duo.
