Adult Pinatas!

nipyata

Will Hench of Jersey City introduced me to the term “Nipyata,” an adult pinata filled with baby bottles of booze—”nips”—instead of candy.

The standard Nipyatas come with about 12 brands: Fireball, Svedka, Jose Cuervo, Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort, Dr. McGillicuddy’s, Peachtree, Captain Morgans, and more. Or, customers can tell creator Will Hench and his team their favorite brands to include.

Cutomized pinatas need approx 35 days lead time on the order – email custom@nipyata.com. For all regular orders, please visit their site nipyata.com.

Jersey City-ans can pick up their Nipyatas at The Thirsty Quaker (495 Monmouth St.) or have it delivered to your house/party, and those further away can have them shipped for free, which usually takes 3-5 business days. Check their website to see if your state is eligible for shipping and “For best results, ship your Nipyata to a Business Address where someone 21 + can sign for it. If you ship it to your home, and nobody 21 + is present to sign, it will be returned to sender. Then your party will stink,” warns Hench.

“A good friend from home would do ‘home made’ Nipyatas for parties and they were always a huge hit. The wide variety of spirits in each Nipyata was always a blast and watching your friends try to break it open while blindfolded was always hilarious fun. So we wanted to see if we could create a Nipyata brand and sell them online to be delivered for parties or birthday gifts.”

Nipyatas range from $59.99 to $229.99: the smallest come with 12 nips and the largest has 60 nips. It also includes Blind Fold, Nipyata Stick and String to hang up the Nipyata.

“We love the Jersey City community and how the small businesses all help to support each other. It’s an amazing and exciting place to be right now to launch a new product or service,” says Hench.
